Temperature Regulation

Poor temperature regulation as a result of spinal cord injury is due to the impaired functioning of the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system regulates all of the other physiological functions that we normally take for granted. In addition to temperature regulation, blood pressure regulation, heart rate, respiration and control of the bowel and bladder are also included. Symptoms of poor temperature regulation results as becoming either hot or cold easily. Dangerous conditions may exist if the body's temperature is not regulated. The Neuro-Acupuncture techniques work to strengthen the signaling of the autonomic nervous system and improve temperature regulation.
