Needle Cauterization

Needle cauterization originates from a very old technique where a special herb is smoldered on the acupuncture needle to improve circulation ("needle moxibustion"). In our modern settings, the needle is heated with a flame instead of using the herb ("heated needle acupuncture"). The needle cauterization effect strongly promotes circulation and function. It also can help to reduce and resolve scar tissue and to promote improved neuronal communications. At Neuro-Acupuncture we use this method widely to improve neuronal function.
